Hi. I'm Kelly.

My Little Pony Movie Night!

My Little Pony Movie Night!

This post is sponsored by Hasbro, all opinions are my own.

When it comes to anything nostalgic of my own childhood I am 100% in. My Little Pony’s were always a favorite for me growing up so I get excited about sharing the MLP fun with my girls. It has been a big year in our home with both of my girls starting school full time for the first time ever (Ayla started Kindergarten and Coco started full day Pre-K). We are all settled into our fall routines now but I have just been so proud of both girls as it’s been a big adjustment. I wanted to do something special so when I saw that Netflix had a new “My Little Pony, A New Generation” movie coming out on September 24th, 2021, I hit up Walmart for some fun My Little Pony gear to surprise the girls and I made a special pony themed movie night for them.

Every good movie night needs a cozy pair of matching PJ’s. I found a set from Walmart that actually has two pair of PJ’s in them. I don't know what laundry is like in your home, but over here it feels like PJ’s are always in the hamper when we need them! I also got the Walmart exclusive Sing and Glow Izzy Plush for Coco as a fun treat and the Izzy Styling head for Ayla since she’s been really into doing hair lately. I couldn’t help but grab this MLP Retro Under the Rainbow short sleeve tee for myself to join in on the fun. I found the cutest little outfit for coco with a little sparkle skirt that I knew she would love to wear to school and show her friends and I got Ayla some My Little Pony Tee’s to match mine since she always needs some good Tee’s to play in.

I also surprised them with a bowl of “Unicorn Popcorn” for the movie because yummy snacks are a definite must. The recipe is so simple. I melted about 8 oz. of white chocolate in a bowl and added 1/3 cup cake mix (I used funfetti but you can use yellow or white cake mix as well). Pop a bag of popcorn and then coat the popcorn with the melted chocolate mixture. It’s a little messy but easiest to just use your hands. Lay it out on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle it with about 1/3 cup of sprinkles. Once it’s dry and the chocolate hardens a bit it’s ready to eat!

If you’d like to throw your kids a fun My Little Pony themed movie night you can find all the My Little Pony themed gear you need from Walmart.com. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a cute Tee too! You know your inner 6 yr old will love it!

Xo,

Kelly
